Kelvin Brown is an award winning artist, DJ, record collector and academic. His work is concerned with human responses to sound, investigating the relationship between memory and emotion, and individual relationships within the sonic topography of modern life. His works ranges from single channel sound work through to multi-channel site specific installations and large scale collaborative projects.

A graduate of the Royal College of Art in London, he regularly shows internationally in galleries and film festival. Recent projects have been presented at the Chisenhale Gallery, Horse Hospital, Tate Modern and Tate Britain in London, The Steve Biko Centre South Africa, The Vancouver International Film Festival and The Hong Kong Contemporary Art Fair. He has been the recipient of several awards, including The Gasworks/ Triangle Network International Fellowship awards, as well as winning an Audience Award at Images Festival, Toronto
